Animated Truchet tile pattern

Endless maze-like curves from Truchet tiles: each cell holds two quarter-circle arcs in one of two orientations chosen by a hash, so arcs join into continuous paths, with light running along them.

How it works

Shader type
canvas_item
Parameters
line_color (vec4 = 0.95, 0.85, 0.55, 1), background_color (vec4 = 0.1, 0.12, 0.2, 1), flow_color (vec4 = 1, 0.4, 0.3, 1), cells (float = 10), line_width (float = 0.12), flow_speed (float = 1), flow_spacing (float = 0.5), seed (int = 3)
Use it on
A ColorRect (or any CanvasItem) sized to the area to fill; UVs span 0 to 1 across it.
Result
A navy field covered in interlocking cream curves with red pulses travelling along them.

Limits to consider

The flow coordinate is continuous within a tile but its direction can reverse between tiles, so pulses do not follow a whole path consistently.
